How Depressing

Gosh, I've been staying home recovering from some nasty depression since September. Panic attacks, sleeplessness, confusion, the whole works. I'm taking Paxil and something to ease the side effects, and a sleeping aid before bed.
I finally get to the point that a week ago Monday my doctor says, "You seem to be about 90% better, I think you can start driving a car a litttle, and we can think about getting you back to work."
I was so thrilled!
But that same morning, before I went to see him, I noticed a blank spot in my left eye. So after I saw the psychiatrist, I went to the eye doctor. Turns out that I have an artery that has detached from my retina (and cusing the blank spot), it should heal, if not, surgery should fix it. Take two pills after each meal. So a week goes by and I'm taking all my meds and doing my best to do nothing to make it worse. I went to see an asian medicine shiatsu guy on Monday morning and the eye doctor again on in the afternoon. She said I'm pretty much out of danger, just no soccer and no jogging for a while, and have some more pills. See you in two weeks. That's cool.
So I woke up Tuesday morning to see the psch dude, and I've broken out in hives!
Dr. Takamatsu (psych) suggest a nearby dermatologist. He says the hives are caused by the stress of everything else wrong with me. Rest and here's some antihistamines to take twice a day.
So the pictur up top is my dessert after dinner, yum...

Home-sick

Well isn't this just a pickel. Last year at this time my extended family was taking turns with the flu. First my youngest two got it and as soon as they werer diagnosed, so were my in-laws, they're grandparents. So we sent the sick ones off to commiserate with the g-ps. Right arounf the time that those folks all started feeling better, the older two boys and the missus all came down with it. No sense re-infecting the ones who had recovered, so we kept the little ones and the folks place. Next, the wife came down with the bug while caring for two sick boys, and as they recovered, she got worse. She eventually spent a couple of days in the hospital with pnuemonia, and then came home to spend a week in isolation. When at last she recovered, she commented that I had not come down with anything.
That was then and this is now. Wednesday afternoon I suddenly felt feverish and nauseous, I couldn't finish my lunch and eventually left early for home. When I got home I decided hit the sack early to feel better, but the wife insisted I have a bowl of tofu first.
Saw a doctor first thing yesterday morning who infromed me that I have a gastrointestinal virul infection and that I'm contagious. Treatment consists of no food and limited liquid intake (besides the regular I.V.)
So, to try and keep everyone else from feeling lousy, I am the one in isolation, and just to make matters fun, I can't eat anything. Luckily I have no appetite...

Here we go again.

Well, it looks as though O have been kicked off Manila for good. Can't access a thing. Not the end of the world, because now I'm here. Saw Batman Begins yesterday with the wife and little munchkins. Cool, but way violent. I liked the gizmos and the lack thereof in the car. Groovy vehicle that Batmobile. I hope there will be more to come. And how can I get one of those cars?

Hung out with Paul and Colin last night, our yearly get together. Wonderful to see those two gentlemen. Always a pleaseure.

I started watching Dog Day Afternoon last night when I got home, but I was too beat to stay up, and canceled that one. Maybe another day.
